Lithium batteries have a low self discharge rate. Which means they can retain their charge for longer periods and results in relatively less wastage overtime than lead-acid batteries.
Fast charging capabilities of Lithium batteries prevents them from full discharge and drastically increases the lifespan of the battery. A normal Lead-acid battery with 5-years of warranty last around 7-8 years while the new Lithium battery lasts 10 to 12 years and more.
